Dedicated exclusively to poetry, Pivec Publishing House annually organises the Poetry Tournament, where the best Slovene unpublished poem of the year is chosen. In 2012, when Maribor will be the European Capital of Culture, the tournament is to be expanded into the European Poetry Tournament, joining poets from 6 European countries.
