3,000 years of Iron Making in Slovenia, three exhibitions coorganised by the Koroška Regional Museum, Museum of Metalurgy in Štore and the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia Moscow
The museum looks after 29 dislocated museum units and historic sites. Among them are the Radlje ob Dravi Museum, Church of St George in Legen, the Carinthian Plebiscite Museum, Libeliče, the Soklič Museum in Slovenj Gradec, a unique cabinet of curiosities; the World War II memorials Pauček Partisan Hospital, Partisan Hospital Tevakin, and the Gestapo Prisons at Dravograd; the ethnological collections Javnik Wood Rafting Museum, Muta Forge Museum, Hammer collection of Ferdinand Leitinger, and the Beekeeping collection, Črna na Koroškem.
Koroška Regional Museum oversees also the Birthplace of Hugo Wolf, a 19th century composer, the Prežihov Voranc Cottage, and the Memorial Room of Dr. Ljuba Prenner.
In 2002 archaeologists found new archaeological sites and turned them into a park that is now part of the Ravne Castle - Streiteben. The medieval remains of the protection wall for Ravne Town can be seen on the east edge of the old part of town. The antique necropolis Kolaciona from Roman times (first to fourth century AD) was excavated near the roundabout on the road Stari Trg to Kotlje where now a reconstruction can be seen.
Another evidence of Roman settlement in these parts is Dovže Villa Rustica Park in Dovže near Mislinja where only tombstones and bases of a Roman villa with special heating system (hypokavst) are preserved. Next to the archaeological site the ethnological monument Stari Pušnik Homestead is evidence of Slovenian Folk Architecture.
