Literatura Literary Artistic Association was established in 1989 to manage the newly-autonomous Literatura magazine. In the following year the Association began publishing books. Collections published since that time include: Novi pristopi ('New Approaches'), which presents original Slovene essay and theory texts; and Labirinti, featuring translations of J L Borges, G Deleuze, F Guattari (Kafka), Paul de Man and Gianni Vattimo. It has also published various short stories by Slovene authors, including Noč v Ljubljana ('Evening in Ljubljana'), based on a historical event: the night that James Joyce spent at the railway station in Ljubljana.
