The AGRFT Library is well stocked with academic books, stage plays in the original languages and translations, and also a collection of books related to psychology, philosophy, music, and other related fields. There is also over 4000 typescripts in the library, and since 1996 also the degree theses.
The library includes a relatively complete collection of leaflets from principal theatre houses in Slovenia (Slovene National Theatre Drama Ljubljana, Slovene National Theatre Maribor, Slovene People’s Theatre (SLG) Celje, Slovene Permanent Theatre in Trieste, Ljubljana City Theatre (MGL), Prešeren Theatre Kranj, Slovene National Theatre Nova Gorica, Mladinsko Theatre), from the opera houses in Ljubljana and Maribor, and some amateur theatres. Leaflets cannot be borrowed and can be studied in the reading room only.
The library contains also a large selection of periodicals and journals, mainly in the fields of film and theatre. Video and audio material collections are available as part of film documentation holdings, while the iconoteque and other related material is part of theatre documentation holdings.
Since 1993 the library stock has been searchable via the COBISS - Slovene Virtual Library system as a specialised library. Since 2004 all the collections are also accessible online, through the online database e-Kumba that offers the possibility to browse the complete archive.
Culture.si offers information on Slovene cultural producers, venues, festivals and support services, all in one place. It encourages international cultural exchange in the fields of arts, culture and heritage. The portal and its content is owned and funded by the Ministry of Culture and developed by Ljudmila Art and Science Laboratory.
