At the moment HALMA is present in 21 European countries and includes 26 literary institutions. Goga Publishing House is thus connected with the Slovene Hostel Situla in Novo mesto, which is one of the houses in the HALMA network. As a part of HALMA, Goga also organizes the exchange of Slovene authors to other houses across Europe.

Goga Publishing House was established in December 1998 and it published its first book in January 2000. Goga is involved in a wide specter of activities, from publishing Slovene and foreign works, audio CDs, journals to organizing different cultural events. Goga is also a part of HALMA literary network exchange organization.


Literature publishing programme

Goga's literature publishing programme aims to give new perspectives on local literature, as well as on work in translation. Goga is interested in first-class literature related to current topics. Since 2003 it has also published the Anagoga edition, which features monograph publications. Edition Lunapark specializes in children and youth literature. In 2000 Goga Bookstore was opened in Novo mesto. Goga also organizes musical, cultural, literary and other events for children and adults, as well as various workshops. In spring 2011 Ristanc, an animation workshop for children, was organized.

Rast, a quarterly review for literature, culture and social issues, is published by Goga in collaboration with Municipality of Novo mesto, and Park magazine, whose chief aim is to raise awareness of sociopolitical, regional and cultural questions.
