Projekt Atol Institute Makrolab at Isola di Campalto in the Venice Lagoon as part of the Biennale di Venezia 2003 Projekt Atol is a non-profit cultural institution founded in 1992 by Slovene conceptual and new media artist Marko Peljhan and officially registered in 1994. Its activities range from art production to scientific research and technological prototype development and production. The technological arm of Projekt Atol, called PACT Systems (Projekt Atol Communication Technologies), was founded in 1995, and the flight operations branch, Projekt Atol Flight Operations, was founded in 1999 to support art and cultural activities in the atmosphere, in orbit, and beyond. Projekt Atol serves as the institutional, financial and logistics support frame for several projects and initiatives, such as its Makrolab project and the recent Arctic Perspective Initiative. Avgust Černigoj Gallery, Lipica Avgust Černigoj (1898–1985) is credited with influencing Slovene Fine Art by introducing Constructivism to Slovenia. Shown here is part of the permanent exhibition of his work at Avgust Černigoj Gallery, Lipica Avgust Černigoj Gallery comprises a collection of around 1400 works of Avgust Černigoj (1898–1985), a key figure of Constructivism and the Slovene historic avant-garde artistic scene. The Gallery is part of the Lipica Stud Farm (the cradle of the Lipizzaner horse) in the village Lipica, where Černigoj spent the last five years of his life. The permanent exhibition installation of around 400 works was set up by Novi kolektivizem (NK).
